Artists James and Norah LeClare of Powell River express art each in their own way. The art of choice and passion for James is painting in oils. He lays paint on the canvas in colours and a form that reflects a mind rich in imagination.
Norah’s approach to art is “variety is the spice of life”. Her first love was wood carving begun in 1996. A few years after ‘retiring’ to Powell River put aside wood carving, but continued to take on art projects that include photo art and some of the pieces under the heading ‘Imagination’
The photo backgrounds used throughout the site are of Powell River, a place of magic tucked away on an isolated peninsula of British Columbia. It takes two ferries or a plane ride to get there, but it is well worth it and you are most welcome to visit.
